Fullstack Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join a fast‑moving product engineering team building an AI‑powered sales platform used worldwide. Based in South Africa, you will work at the intersection of backend and frontend development, delivering core features that shape modern sales workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack product features ensuring performance, scalability, and usability.
• Build and improve core components of a data‑intensive SaaS platform, handling large datasets, search, and real‑time workflows.
• Translate product requirements into well‑architected technical solutions from concept to production.
• Develop backend services and APIs while contributing to user‑facing interfaces using modern web frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with founders, product managers, designers, and cross‑functional teams to ship new features frequently.
• Identify and resolve production issues, optimise system performance, and improve reliability.
• Participate in architectural decisions, system design discussions, and engineering best‑practice improvements.
• Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and maintainable engineering practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working on complex, scalable systems.
• Strong experience building and maintaining web applications across both frontend and backend layers.
• Solid understanding of system design principles, including scalability, reliability, performance, and failure modes.
• Proven ability to debug production issues and identify root causes in complex systems.
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive improvements independently.
• Experience in fast‑paced product environments with frequent releases and evolving requirements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, especially under load.
