Full Stack Engineer – Backend & Cloud Services

About the role

Alumus is building technology at the intersection of healthcare and intelligent software. We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who can work across the entire stack—from cloud infrastructure and backend services to the APIs and data pipelines that power our platform. You will collaborate closely with clinical and product teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high‑performing solutions that have a tangible impact on patients and providers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack features, including backend services, RESTful APIs, and frontend interfaces.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs across the stack to ensure platform stability and performance.
• Collaborate with clinical and product stakeholders to translate business logic into technical designs.
• Build and secure Python‑based services and LLM‑powered modules.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team standards for quality and security.
• Monitor production health, improve observability, and manage CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional full‑stack development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building backend services.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, microservices, and event‑driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Bicep, Terraform) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions or equivalent).
• Understanding of data security best practices, including encryption at rest and in transit.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product and clinical experts.
