Front-End / Full Stack Developer (Intermediate)

About the role

We are seeking an intermediate Front‑End / Full‑Stack Developer to join a global investment advisory firm in Cape Town. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office collaboration and remote flexibility while working on modern web technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Create intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces using Vue.js.
• Build reusable components and translate complex business requirements into high‑quality UI experiences, collaborating with design tools such as Figma or Sketch.
• Integrate front‑end applications with .NET Core RESTful APIs and work closely with backend engineers to optimise data flow.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure front‑end standards, and collaborate with QA, product and other disciplines.
• Communicate progress, identify risks, and manage dependencies within the team.
• Contribute to automated testing using Jest and Cypress and expand full‑stack knowledge with .NET services.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of software development experience, primarily front‑end.
• Strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue.js, and solid skills in HTML5, CSS3/SCSS/LESS.
• Deep understanding of component‑based architecture, state management (e.g., Pinia), and routing.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and delivering features from requirements to deployment.
• Excellent problem‑solving, ownership, and communication abilities.
• Experience in finance or investment domain is a plus.
