Freelance Marketing Assistant – Digital Campaigns

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Freelance Marketing Assistant to help drive our GVPM Cloud Accounting Platform campaign. The role focuses on creating and managing digital content across LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok to attract South African entrepreneurs.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, brand and manage social media profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
• Create, design and schedule 3‑4 pieces of organic content each week according to monthly plans.
• Write on‑brand, education‑focused copy that encourages platform sign‑ups.
• Prepare and submit monthly content plans and incorporate campaign briefs.
• Support paid media campaigns, preparing static, carousel and video ads for Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Assist with email marketing – database capture, segmentation, nurture flows and monthly newsletters.
• Track performance metrics (impressions, clicks, sign‑ups, cost‑per‑sign‑up, open rates, CTR) and compile monthly reports.
• Participate in weekly check‑ins and ensure all deliverables meet timelines and brand guidelines.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in digital or social media marketing.
• Qualified in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• Proven track record managing business social media accounts on LinkedIn, Meta and TikTok.
• Experience with content creation, copywriting and basic design tools.
