Forklift Operator (F1/F2A+K) – Material Handler

About the role

Perform routine movement of materials, loading, off‑loading and staging within the RMS and to/from production in a 3‑month contract position. The role supports production/manufacturing operations in the Parow Industrial and Kuilsriver area of Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Pick materials for production according to picking lists and deliver them on time and in full.
• Report material shortages in real time and document accurately.
• Off‑load multiple daily deliveries and complete required documentation.
• Maintain valid forklift licences (F1A, F2A, K, F5 Reach Truck) and operate equipment safely.
• Perform general housekeeping to ensure food safety and EHS compliance.
• Carry out daily and weekly food‑safety inspections for the functional area.
• Report any forklift or equipment faults and maintain cleanliness of machinery and work area.
• Participate in mandatory monthly cycle counts of all materials in the RMS.
• Work shift and weekend schedules as required, including ad‑hoc duties.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with good communication skills and ability to work in teams.
• Strong attention to detail, high numerical and written accuracy.
• Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics (Matric with Pure Mathematics – not negotiable).
• Physically able to pull pallets, load stock into trucks and handle multiple deliveries daily.
• Medically fit and able to meet safety regulations.
