About the role

We are seeking a Junior Foreclosure Litigation Attorney to join our legal team in Pretoria East. The role focuses on managing foreclosure matters for Standard Bank, providing comprehensive legal support throughout the litigation process.

Key responsibilities

• Handle foreclosure litigation cases from initiation to resolution.
• Manage the full Standard Bank foreclosure portfolio, ensuring compliance with banking regulations.
• Collaborate with senior counsel and external advisors on complex cases.
• Prepare legal documents, pleadings, and court submissions.
• Maintain accurate case records and reporting.

Required profile

• LLB degree with admission to the legal profession.
• 1-2 years post‑admission experience in foreclosure litigation.
• Experience with Standard Bank’s portfolio is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with RAF litigation is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of foreclosure litigation processes.
• Understanding of banking and financial regulations related to foreclosures.
• Ability to analyse complex legal documents and draft precise pleadings.
