Floor Manager - Supermarket

About the role

Ubumbano Labour Solutions is looking for an experienced, reliable and hands-on Floor Manager to join its supermarket team in Isipingo, KwaZulu-Natal. The role covers day-to-day shop-floor operations, staff supervision and keeping the store well stocked and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop-floor operations
• Supervise and manage staff, allocate duties and monitor performance
• Ensure shelves are properly stocked and merchandised
• Monitor customer service and assist with customer queries
• Assist with stock control and minimise stock losses
• Keep the store clean, safe and up to standard
• Support the Store Manager in the smooth running of the supermarket

Required profile

• At least 3 years' experience as a Floor Manager or Supervisor in a supermarket or retail environment
• Previous experience managing and supervising staff
• Reliable, responsible and hands-on

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of supermarket operations
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
• Experience with stock control and merchandising is an advantage
