Flexi Sales & Customer Associate – Thavani Mall

About the role

The Sales Associate will deliver an exceptional in‑showroom customer experience at Thavani Mall, converting visitor interest into sales through product demonstration, needs analysis and accurate order processing. Working closely with the Store Supervisor and Showroom Manager, the role supports sales targets, customer service standards and daily showroom operations.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers on the showroom floor, understand their needs and convert interactions into sales while meeting individual targets.
• Demonstrate product features, benefits, pricing and promotions, and ensure accurate quoting aligned to catalogue.
• Guide customers through the full journey – selection, ordering, payment and after‑sales support, escalating complex issues when needed.
• Capture orders, payments, refunds and credits accurately, maintaining compliant documentation and system records.
• Support basic stock handling, floor replenishment and visual merchandising, reporting any discrepancies.
• Follow cash‑handling, compliance and quality procedures, participating in required training and risk escalation.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve showroom targets and support promotions, flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric (minimum requirement).
• At least 1 year of retail sales experience, preferably in a target‑driven environment.
• Customer‑facing sales experience with a strong service mindset.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Homewares retail experience is advantageous.
• Clear credit and criminal record.
