Fitness Instructor

About the role

The Fitness Instructor will join the Maties Gymnasium team, reporting to the Fitness Manager. Working in a dynamic, member‑focused environment, you will help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals through assessments, personalised programmes, and supportive guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct health and fitness assessments for gym members.
• Design and prescribe tailored exercise programmes based on individual needs.
• Demonstrate correct exercise techniques and suggest alternatives when required.
• Provide solutions to member queries and ensure a high level of customer service.
• Maintain equipment organization, safety standards, and access control procedures.
• Lead floor and studio classes set to music when needed.
• Perform necessary administrative duties related to the role.

Required profile

• Relevant fitness qualification.
• Experience in the fitness industry, including use of gym equipment and conducting assessments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Commitment to ethical conduct and health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
