Fire Suppression Sales Consultant - Sprinkler & Water Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Consultant with hands‑on knowledge of fire sprinkler and water‑based suppression systems to drive sustainable revenue growth. The role focuses on service, maintenance and small‑works projects, acting as a trusted technical advisor to facilities managers, insurers and commercial property owners.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets while respecting gross‑margin expectations.
• Build a balanced portfolio prioritising recurring service & maintenance revenue, high‑frequency small works and margin‑secure projects.
• Develop and actively manage a qualified sales pipeline and ensure quotations are technically sound and compliant.
• Proactively target facilities/property managers, logistics operators, insurers/brokers and commercial/industrial owners.
• Conduct quarterly client engagements to identify compliance gaps and upgrade opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, support invoicing and collaborate with operations and subcontractors for seamless delivery.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) – required.
• Minimum 3 years B2B sales experience specifically in fire sprinkler or water‑based suppression systems.
• Hands‑on familiarity with sprinkler components such as ICVs, fire pumps, wet/dry risers.
• Understanding of compliance standards (e.g., SANS 10287, ASIB).
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sprinkler system components (ICVs, fire pumps, wet/dry risers).
• Familiarity with compliance standards (SANS 10287, ASIB).
• Proficiency in CRM systems.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
