About the role

The company, a growing enterprise in the agriculture and manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly qualified Financial Director (CA(SA)) to lead its finance function and contribute to strategic decision‑making. This senior position will oversee financial planning, reporting and risk management for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the company’s financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare, analyse and present financial statements and management accounts.
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Control costs, profitability and operational financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee cash flow, liquidity and working capital management.
• Provide financial input for strategic and operational decisions.
• Supervise financial systems, data integrity and internal control processes.
• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Support audits and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Qualified CA(SA) with proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in cost management, profitability oversight and cash‑flow management.
• Good understanding of internal controls, governance systems and regulatory compliance.
• Strong computer literacy and experience with ERP systems.
• Effective leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions and provide strategic direction.
