Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

About the role

A fast‑growing US financial advisory firm is seeking a remote Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to support a portfolio of high‑growth, venture‑backed technology businesses. The role is hands‑on and execution‑focused, combining financial modelling, forecasting, management reporting and strategic analysis while working closely with senior finance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior finance professionals to deliver high‑quality FP&A support across a portfolio of fast‑growing technology businesses.
• Develop financial models that help leadership understand growth, cash requirements, operating performance and future scenarios.
• Turn business assumptions and operational data into robust forecasts and actionable financial insights.
• Investigate performance against plan, identify commercial drivers and highlight areas requiring attention.
• Create concise, decision‑useful financial reporting for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Provide analytical support on strategic questions spanning growth, profitability, capital requirements and investment decisions.
• Manage individual modelling and analytical assignments from brief to delivery, ensuring accuracy and documentation.
• Apply AI tools to streamline analysis, strengthen model reviews and improve efficiency of recurring finance workflows.

Required profile

• CA (SA) or CGMA qualification with 6+ years of finance experience, preferably in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking or private equity.
• Strong hands‑on experience in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis.
• Experience within high‑growth or venture‑backed technology businesses is preferred.
• Commercial and analytical capability with exposure to valuation, fundraising, unit economics or investment analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently, with some overlap during US Pacific Time business hours.
