Financial Operations Process Manager

About the role

Publicis Re:Sources, the shared service arm of Publicis Groupe, is hiring a Financial Operations Process Manager in Johannesburg. The role designs, optimizes and oversees financial processes such as payments, collections, reconciliations and reporting, using Intelligent Automation (IA) and AI alongside SAP. It also links local agency teams with the Shared Services Centre (SSC) in India.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the review, design and continuous improvement of financial operations processes
• Identify inefficiencies and implement enhancements to improve accuracy, turnaround time and cost-effectiveness
• Drive the identification, evaluation and implementation of AI and IA solutions integrated with SAP
• Partner with technology and data teams to embed automation, machine learning and AI tools in finance workflows
• Act as the main liaison between local teams and the SSC in India, translating local requirements into standardized processes and monitoring SSC performance against service levels
• Resolve escalations, document financial workflows and controls, and oversee SAP financial modules
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and audit standards, and lead transformation initiatives in SAP environments
• Provide leadership and guidance to team members and stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field; CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent is advantageous
• 5-8+ years of experience in financial operations, process improvement or finance transformation
• Experience with Shared Services environments or offshore teams, and with project and change management
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regions and cultures

Required skills

• Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes (O2C, P2P, R2R)
• Strong SAP experience (S/4HANA or ECC), including financial modules
• Exposure to AI, Intelligent Automation, RPA or data-driven tools in finance
• Analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
