Financial Manager: Operations (Supplier Park Development)

About the role

AIDC, a government-owned public entity supporting the South African automotive industry, is recruiting a Financial Manager: Operations in its Finance Department. The post reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is on a permanent employment contract with a three-month probation. The role contributes to the company's profitability through pricing assessments, risk management and sound financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute an annual operational plan, monitor it and prepare budgets for tenants (rent, levies) and services (ICT)
• Manage the financial cycle: accounting systems, audits, compliance with the Companies Act, GRAP, IAS and financial controls
• Monitor and report on financial risks, incidents and mitigation actions
• Manage the operational finance department, including accounts payable, cash flow, credit and collections, VAT and tax, and produce consolidated monthly reports and forecasts
• Review and approve payment batches, reconcile monthly files, and coordinate business unit meetings on pricing and billing
• Review business unit results against budget, scope accounting treatments for new transactions and review AFS
• Manage staff: performance planning, coaching, reviews, succession planning and appraisals

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 and B.Com Honours with CTA
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of commercial experience
