Financial Manager

About the role

Blue Recruiting is seeking an ambitious CA(SA) Financial Manager for a large, fast‑growing manufacturing business in Johannesburg. The role offers ownership of the finance function and a pathway to broader commercial finance leadership, working closely with operations, supply chain and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance team and take ownership of day‑to‑day financial management.
• Prepare and oversee accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow and working‑capital requirements.
• Maintain financial controls, policies, procedures and key balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Coordinate tax, VAT and other statutory compliance, and manage the annual audit process.
• Analyse product costs, profitability and operational variances to support commercial decisions.
• Provide insights on production efficiency, wastage, pricing and investment opportunities.
• Translate financial analysis into practical recommendations for senior management.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification with solid financial fundamentals.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain and senior leadership.
• Strong analytical mindset with a commercial focus.
