Financial Manager – Fintech & Multi‑Entity Operations

About the role

Communicate Finance is seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to lead financial strategy, governance, and operational excellence across multiple African markets. You will own reporting, treasury, forecasting, audits and regulatory compliance in a complex multi‑entity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive financial forecasting, budgeting and long‑range planning to support sustainable growth.
• Design and enhance sophisticated financial models for revenue, cost, liquidity and unit economics.
• Provide commercially focused insights and performance analysis for executive decision‑making.
• Lead end‑to‑end finance operations, including accounting, reconciliations and month‑end reporting.
• Deliver accurate, IFRS‑compliant financial reporting and group consolidations across entities.
• Champion robust financial controls, governance standards and best‑practice operational processes.
• Act as primary liaison for audits, regulatory engagements and stakeholder management.
• Oversee working capital, liquidity optimisation and multi‑currency treasury management.
• Manage foreign‑exchange exposure, crypto‑to‑fiat conversion economics and counter‑party risk.
• Enhance operational excellence through automation, process optimisation and scalable finance technologies.
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+ years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven background in fintech, payments, cryptocurrency or cross‑border settlement environments.
• Strong understanding of African regulatory frameworks and multi‑jurisdictional financial operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing reporting, treasury, audits, tax and compliance in regulated industries.
