Financial Manager – Expansion & Strategic Finance

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Financial Manager to support our expansion across Southern Africa and into new African markets. Based at the head office, you will drive financial planning, tax compliance and structuring for market entry initiatives while working closely with local advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with entity setup, capital structuring and banking arrangements for new country entries.
• Navigate tax structuring, transfer pricing and local content requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Design financial structures and funding models to support market entry and growth initiatives.
• Evaluate mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic transactions.
• Provide financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning for growth projects.
• Maintain robust financial reporting, tax compliance and treasury processes.

Required profile

• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• 5–8 years post‑articles finance experience, preferably in multi‑entity or cross‑border environments.
• Experience in mining, contract mining, construction, engineering or related heavy‑industry sectors is advantageous.
• Familiarity with business structuring, tax and market entry within African jurisdictions or strong interest to develop this expertise.
