Financial Controller – Remote (UK hours)

About the role

Our client is looking for a highly organised and detail‑oriented Financial Controller to manage the finances of a diverse portfolio of property‑related businesses. The role is fully remote, works UK business hours, and supports multiple holding and subsidiary companies in property management and development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the finances for several holding and subsidiary entities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including monthly management accounts and profit & loss statements.
• Develop, monitor and update budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyse financial performance and deliver meaningful reports to senior management.
• Maintain detailed financial spreadsheets and ensure data accuracy.
• Reconcile accounts and oversee general accounting functions.
• Assist with cash‑flow management, financial planning and forecasting.
• Ensure financial records are well organised and professionally presented.
• Work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.
• Experience managing finances across multiple companies or group structures.
• Background in property management or property development is preferred.
• Strong understanding of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and able to work with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with financial systems and ERP software.
