Financial Controller – Financial Controls & Reporting

About the role

The company is a fast‑growing, influential organisation seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own financial controls, reporting and strategic insight. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will ensure regulatory compliance, optimise financial processes and maintain accurate records across all entities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document business processes to sustain robust internal controls.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations such as SARS and PSIRA.
• Oversee the general ledger and financial systems, ensuring up‑to‑date records.
• Drive month‑end and year‑end close, preparing management accounts and group financial statements.
• Coordinate annual audit activities and liaise with external auditors.
• Process FSS/FSI payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
• Prepare statutory payments, reports and perform treasury functions.
• Provide financial controllership for stock takes, inventory management and insurance claim submissions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of commercial finance experience.
• Mandatory payroll processing experience.
• Exposure to ERP accounting systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication abilities.
• B.Com Accounting or equivalent qualification (CA(SA) or CIMA).
