Financial Consultant - OMF Hemingways Mall

About the role

Old Mutual is hiring an OMF Financial Consultant for its Hemingways Mall branch in East London. The consultant advises clients on a defined range of products for a specific allocated market and is individually accountable for achieving results through their own efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: handle simple customer inquiries and refer more complex matters to colleagues
• Solutions analysis: assess routine inquiries against established standards and protocols
• Customer relationship management: keep customer details accurate, record follow-up actions and notes from each sales call
• Prospecting: make calls to potential customers to build relationships and act as first point of contact for queries and complaints
• Business development: support routine business development tasks and help others follow established procedures
• Sales opportunities: identify potential customers through information, referrals and recommendations from existing clients
• Data exploration: select and enter data into spreadsheets or standard formats
• Networking: contribute to a network of people, technologies and ideas inside and outside the company
• Compliance: follow mandatory procedures and adhere to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct

Required profile

• High School (Grade 12)
• Ability to balance stakeholders, build networks, communicate effectively, show customer focus, ensure accountability, instill trust and manage complexity
