Financial Consultant (Klerksdorp Pipeline)

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a proactive Financial Consultant to serve the Klerksdorp pipeline market. You will provide advice on a specific range of financial products, manage customer interactions, and contribute to business development while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver standard customer service, handling simple inquiries and directing complex matters to colleagues.
• Assess compliance with established standards for routine inquiries.
• Receive visitors, provide information, and refer complex requests.
• Maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system and record follow‑up actions.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify requirements.
• Prospect and develop relationships with allocated potential customers via phone or in‑person visits.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints as the first point of contact.
• Follow mandatory procedures to meet quality and regulatory standards.
• Support routine business development tasks and assist colleagues.
• Identify sales opportunities through referrals and recommendations.
• Enter selected data into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Participate in networking activities both inside and outside the company.

Required profile

• Matriculation Certificate (Matric) or equivalent.
• Competencies: balances stakeholders, builds networks, communicates effectively, customer focus, ensures accountability, instills trust, interpersonal savvy, manages complexity.
