Financial Consultant – Brakpan Mall

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a Financial Consultant to operate from Brakpan Mall. The role involves providing advice on a specific range of financial products to an allocated market, handling customer enquiries, and contributing to business development while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver standard customer service activities and respond to simple enquiries.
• Assess compliance with established standards for routine inquiries.
• Receive visitors, provide information, and refer complex matters to colleagues.
• Maintain accurate customer details in the CRM system and record follow‑up actions.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their requirements.
• Prospect and develop relationships with allocated potential customers through calls and face‑to‑face visits.
• Serve as the first point of contact for resolving queries and complaints.
• Follow mandatory procedures to meet quality standards and regulatory codes.
• Support routine business‑development tasks and assist colleagues as needed.
• Identify sales opportunities by gathering referrals and recommendations.
• Extract and input relevant data into spreadsheets or standard formats.
• Participate in networking activities both inside and outside the company.

Required profile

• National Certification (Nat Cert) is required.
• Full‑time availability and personal accountability for results.
• Strong communication and interpersonal relationship management skills.
• Customer‑centric mindset with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
