About the role

The Financial Adviser will provide professional, compliant financial advice, planning and product solutions to both new and existing clients. The role focuses on building long‑term relationships, generating sustainable business and meeting revenue targets while upholding Sanlam’s ethical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored financial advice, conduct needs analysis and present suitable product solutions.
• Acquire and grow a high‑quality client portfolio in line with revenue and activity targets.
• Generate leads through networking, prospecting, social media and referrals.
• Maintain ongoing client service, monitor account activity and respond to maturities, cancellations or surrenders.
• Document client interactions, update records and report on contacts, appointments and business issued.
• Ensure all advice and disclosures comply with FAIS regulations and Treating Customers Fairly principles.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Successful completion of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) “Fit and Proper” examination.
• At least 24 months registration with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
• Demonstrated ability to achieve revenue and activity quotas.
• Strong client relationship management and compliance awareness.
• Interest in continuous learning of financial products and market trends.
