Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

About the role

Network Finance is seeking a Financial Accountant to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Johannesburg East. The role combines financial accounting with a strong focus on costing, supporting both finance and operational teams to drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full costing cycle from raw‑material procurement to finished‑goods valuation.
• Prepare and analyse product costs for accurate inventory valuation and profitability reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Perform cost variance analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Assist with month‑end reporting, reconciliations and preparation of management accounts.
• Partner with production teams to improve efficiencies and maintain strong financial controls.

Required profile

• BCom in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years’ finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in costing, including Zero‑Based Costing principles.
• Studying towards CIMA is highly advantageous.
• Willingness to handle both costing and broader accounting responsibilities.
