Finance Reporting & Data Assurance Analyst (Remote 6‑Month Contract)

This fully remote, six‑month contract offers an opportunity for a strong Finance Reporting & Data Assurance Analyst to help build reliable, traceable and audit‑ready reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, financial reports and controlled Excel outputs.
• Create datasets, calculations, measures and reporting logic.
• Turn Finance, Treasury and regulatory requirements into clear reporting solutions.
• Reconcile reports back to source data, trial balances and financial control totals.
• Investigate mismatches, data issues and unexplained variances.
• Test reporting from both a functional and data‑quality perspective.
• Maintain clear reporting rules, data lineage, test evidence and sign‑off records.
• Support Finance teams during reporting cycles, submissions and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, data and technical teams to deliver reporting.

Required profile

• South African based with eligibility to work in South Africa and willingness to travel to Cairo periodically.
• 5+ years’ experience in finance reporting, financial data, BI or reporting assurance.
• Strong accounting, financial reporting and reconciliation knowledge.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related field preferred.
• Professional accounting qualification, or progress toward one, is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modelling and report development).
• Strong Excel skills, including complex formulas and reconciliation work.
• Working SQL skills to interrogate and validate data independently.
• Experience building interactive dashboards and fixed‑format/paginated reports.
• Understanding of data quality, transformations and lineage.
