Finance & Operations Analyst

About the role

Compose Finance is seeking a full‑time Finance & Operations Analyst to join its Cape Town office. You will be responsible for managing daily financial operations that support fiat and stablecoin transactions, ensuring accurate reporting and smooth workflow execution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform transaction reconciliations and generate regular financial reports for fiat and stablecoin activities.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, improve processes and support risk‑management initiatives.
• Maintain accuracy in accounting and finance records across all payment channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational issues and design scalable workflows.
• Provide timely support to internal and external stakeholders on operational queries.

Required profile

• South African citizenship with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Experience in fintech, payments or crypto is a plus.
• Strong finance and accounting knowledge, preferably with exposure to financial operations or auditing.
• Excellent analytical abilities to interpret financial and operational data.
• Customer‑service mindset and ability to respond quickly to stakeholder inquiries.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Excel.
• Experience using Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
