Finance Manager - Operations

About the role

At Adept Advisory we are seeking a Finance Manager – Operations to lead our finance function and support a growing consulting business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee a team of five finance professionals and ensure the smooth running of core financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Finance Operations team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own day‑to‑day finance operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, cash management, employee expenses, general‑ledger integrity, working capital, intercompany accounting and financial controls across multiple entities.
• Manage a complex payroll environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
• Safeguard revenue by overseeing client invoicing, timesheet processing, revenue integrity, commercial controls and contract compliance.
• Partner with business leaders to solve problems, improve processes and provide insightful financial analysis.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives such as process optimisation, systems improvements, automation and enhanced reporting.
