Finance Manager – Midrand, Gauteng

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead day‑to‑day financial management, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls and compliance while acting as a strategic partner to senior management. This role combines technical accounting expertise with commercial insight to drive performance and support long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and close processes.
• Prepare and review management accounts, journals, accruals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts and monitor departmental spend against approved budgets.
• Provide financial analysis, modelling and business cases to support operational decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation and oversee VAT calculations and statutory submissions.
• Coordinate external audits and maintain internal financial controls.
• Oversee customer billing, supplier payments, fixed‑asset management and capital‑expenditure monitoring.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.
