Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Manager to oversee payroll and accounts payable for our global operations, including South Africa, the UK, the US and India. The role supports the Senior Finance Manager with statutory compliance and the management of worldwide financial activities, offering strong growth potential for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile payroll for South Africa and the US, handling onboarding, employee queries, payslips and statutory submissions (UIF, SDL, EMP201, EMP501, IRP5).
• Assist with global payrolls for KSA, India, Dubai, Hong Kong and new entities.
• Prepare VAT reconciliations, local submissions and US sales tax returns; coordinate with external advisors for VAT refunds.
• Manage South African statutory requirements such as CIPC filings and compensation commissioner returns.
• Support month‑end closing, including general ledger reconciliation, intercompany charges and consolidated management accounts.
• Produce financial reports with commentary for senior management and aid budgeting and variance analysis.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks: bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable oversight, and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in a senior finance role with payroll responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of payroll principles, processes and local tax legislation.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting standards.
• Excellent numeracy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills across all staff levels.
