Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our client’s team in Stellenbosch. The role sits within a group of three Financial Managers, each overseeing a different division, and offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the accounting function for a portfolio of property special‑purpose vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Perform end‑to‑end bookkeeping and accounting using SAGE.
• Maintain full financial responsibility for multiple property SPVs, including trial balance preparation.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and liaise with SARS as required.
• Calculate income tax, complete returns, assessments and manage all e‑filing requirements.
• Manage cashbook, payments and incorporate property management reports into the accounting records.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper.
• Demonstrated ability to handle the complete accounting cycle without direct staff reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within a team.

Required skills

• SAGE accounting software.
