Finance Manager - Durbanville

About the role

ZaPOP is seeking a Finance Manager to join its finance team at the Durbanville office. The role involves taking ownership of the full financial function across a group of businesses, providing strategic insights to leadership, and driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and planning for the group.
• Lead, manage and develop the finance team to ensure accurate and timely outputs.
• Interpret and present monthly financial results and recommendations to the Managing Director and leadership team.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities, challenging assumptions to improve performance.
• Drive profitability through margin analysis, cost optimisation and pricing insights.
• Oversee group consolidation, inter‑company transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Manage treasury, cash‑flow and financial risk to support sustainability.
• Maintain strong financial controls, segregation of duties and a clean audit trail.

Required profile

• CA(SA) or CIMA qualified (SAIPA considered) with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a finance team.
• Strong understanding of South African financial regulations, tax and VAT requirements.
• Experience with group structures, inter‑company transactions and IFRS/GAAP principles.

Required skills

• CA(SA) or CIMA qualification.
• Advanced Excel capability.
• Proficiency with finance systems/ERP.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS/GAAP.
• Understanding of South African tax and VAT legislation.
