Finance Analyst - Store Operations

About the role

Ackermans is looking for a commercially driven Finance Analyst for Store Operations in Cape Town. The role turns store, sales, payroll and financial data into actionable insights that improve performance and operational efficiency, working closely with Operations on budgeting, forecasting, cost control, labour productivity and performance management, while supporting process improvement, automation and key store initiatives.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of experience in commercial, operational finance, store operations, retail planning or a similar support role
• Experience in operational finance, management accounting, store performance analysis, sales budgeting and forecasting
• Understanding of retail store operations, including sales, controllable costs, people deployment and operating routines
• Specific experience in shift-based store payroll, including headcount, hours worked, overtime and labour productivity
• Experience partnering with store and field operations teams to improve execution and decision-making
• Essential: Grade 12 certificate; B.Com in Finance, Accounting, Business, Operations, Retail Planning or equivalent
• Preferred: CGMA, CA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA); payroll, workforce management or labour planning exposure or certification is advantageous
