Field Service Technician

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team in Durban. The role involves travelling to client sites to ensure equipment operates reliably and meets quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repairs, commissioning, inspections and breakdown call‑outs on industrial equipment.
• Complete all work in accordance with company procedures, quality standards and health & safety requirements.
• Maintain clean and presentable equipment after service.
• Recommend process improvements to the supervisor where appropriate.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, delivering excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Matric with a trade‑tested artisan qualification, preferably in Millwright (Fitter or Turner qualifications also considered).
• 3–5 years of experience, ideally within the compressor industry.
