Field Service Engineer

About the role

Join TOMRA Food as a Field Service Engineer and ensure the seamless operation of cutting‑edge food sorting systems. You will work primarily in France, providing commissioning, testing, integration, optimisation, maintenance, training and repair services for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver field service work efficiently to meet cost and time objectives.
• Ensure optimal performance of TOMRA Food sorting machines and exceed customer expectations.
• Diagnose equipment issues, conduct repairs, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve customer support processes.
• Install and adjust equipment as required.
• Provide comprehensive training on operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate field reports for administrative follow‑up.
• Travel abroad up to 80% of the time, including weekends and holiday periods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrotechnical, Automation, Industrial Maintenance or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in on‑site preventive and corrective maintenance supporting industrial customers.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT, networking and PC configuration.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and management.
