Field Service Engineer – Food Sorting Systems

About the role

Join TOMRA Food as a Field Service Engineer and ensure the smooth operation of cutting‑edge food sorting systems. You will be responsible for commissioning, testing, integration, optimisation, maintenance, training and repair activities, primarily serving customers in France while travelling extensively across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver field service work efficiently, meeting cost and time objectives.
• Ensure optimal performance of TOMRA Food sorting machines to exceed customer expectations.
• Diagnose equipment issues, perform corrective repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve customer support processes.
• Install, adjust and optimise sorting equipment on‑site.
• Provide comprehensive training to customers on operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate field reports for administrative follow‑up.
• Travel abroad up to 80% of the time, including weekends and holiday periods as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrotechnical, Automation, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in on‑site preventive and corrective maintenance for industrial customers.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT, networking and PC configuration.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and management.
