Field Recruitment Specialist

About the role

Are you street‑smart, confident with people, and comfortable getting out into the market to make things happen? Our client operates within a fast‑growing technology‑enabled sales, distribution and community network environment and is expanding its footprint across South Africa. They are looking for driven Field Recruitment & Expansion Specialists who can identify the right people on the ground, build strong local networks and support continued expansion into new communities. This is not a traditional desk‑based recruitment role.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to targeted towns, townships and surrounding areas.
• Understand local markets, communities and key players.
• Identify potential candidates through informal traders, entrepreneurs, salespeople, community leaders and local networks.
• Proactively approach and engage prospective candidates, present the opportunity and generate interest.
• Conduct initial face‑to‑face interviews and assessments.
• Assess candidates based on character, reputation, reliability, local network and leadership potential.
• Build quality shortlists for further interviews.
• Develop relationships and networks within the communities visited.
• Provide clear feedback and reports following field visits.
• Represent the organisation professionally while working independently.

Required profile

• Experience in field sales, FMCG/Informal Market, telecommunications, territory development, business development, recruitment/headhunting, distribution/field operations, activations/promotions, or agent/dealer network development.
