Fiduciary Specialist Assistant

About the role

The Fiduciary Specialist Assistant provides essential administrative, operational and sales support to the Fiduciary Specialist team at FNB. The role ensures smooth client process management, accurate record‑keeping and timely follow‑ups, contributing directly to an enhanced client experience and compliance with legislative standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver proactive client service, maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, and communicating updates promptly.
• Provide end‑to‑end administrative support, including document preparation, data capture, case tracking and diary management.
• Chase outstanding client documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy of records.
• Assist with onboarding new clients and managing existing fiduciary services.
• Support sales activities by preparing proposals, reports and other documentation to enhance client retention.
• Help ensure compliance with SARS, Master of the High Court, FAIS, FICA and the Trust Property Control Act requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Investment Management, Law or Commerce (diploma or degree preferred).
• Minimum three years’ experience in fiduciary services, trust administration, wealth management or a similar financial‑services administrative role.
• Fundamental understanding of trust structures, fiduciary services and the regulatory landscape (FAIS, FICA, Trust Property Control Act).
