F&B Supervisor - Fixed Term Contract

About the role

Mount Nelson, a luxury hotel in Cape Town, is looking for an F&B Supervisor on a fixed-term contract. The role drives excellence for every guest and helps craft lasting culinary experiences through an attentive, knowledgeable and approachable team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and supervising the team.
• Ensure the highest standards of service excellence and quality in the F&B department.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Bar, including opening and closing procedures, seating arrangements and coordination of timely food preparation with the kitchen.
• Assist in managing the F&B departments as required.
• Implement systems and procedures that improve cost efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Required profile

• Experience providing exceptional customer service, handling food and beverages in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and attentive demeanour, able to answer questions, give recommendations and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Strong communication skills with guests and colleagues.

• Good food and beverage product knowledge.
