External Sales Representative – Tiles & Building Materials

About the role

We are seeking a driven, hunter‑type External Sales Representative to promote a comprehensive range of premium tiles, flooring, bathroomware and interior building products. You will work closely with contractors, architects, developers, retailers and other industry professionals across the Cape Town region, building long‑term relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Represent and promote the full product portfolio to trade and retail customers.
• Develop and manage a personal client portfolio within the assigned territory.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, delivering tailored solutions that add value to projects.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications to match product solutions.
• Negotiate terms, close deals and achieve sales targets.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• 2‑3 years of external sales experience, preferably in retail, building materials, tiles, interior design or related fields.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle.
