External Sales Representative – Printing Industry

About the role

We are looking for an energetic External Sales Representative to drive growth in the printing industry. You will be responsible for acquiring new customers, managing existing accounts and promoting our wide‑format printing solutions across Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Service new and existing customers to secure orders and open new accounts.
• Plan and organise daily work schedules for product outreach.
• Prepare tailored sales presentations based on customer type and product portfolio.
• Analyse customer potential and buying power to focus sales efforts.
• Submit orders using price lists, product literature and sales guides.
• Provide regular activity reports to management (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Gather market intelligence on competitor pricing, products and techniques.
• Resolve customer complaints by reporting issues and recommending solutions.
• Maintain product knowledge through training, workshops and professional development.
• Manage client accounts, ensure good standing and attend weekly sales meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cold calling and lead generation.
• Background in wide‑format printer sales or similar printing‑industry sales.
• Strong “head‑hunter” mentality with a results‑driven attitude.
