External Sales Representative – Industrial Automation

About the role

We are seeking a driven External Sales Representative to expand our industrial automation portfolio in Durban. This field‑based position offers full ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, allowing you to maximise earnings through uncapped commissions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, approach and secure new industrial accounts, focusing on high‑value OEMs.
• Deliver technical value‑based presentations to engineers, specifiers and decision‑makers.
• Maintain a robust pipeline using Salesforce CRM and achieve monthly sales targets.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to craft tailored proposals and contracts.
• Travel across the assigned territory, building strong relationships with customers.

Required profile

• Proven track record in B2B, solution‑based sales within mechanical or automation sectors.
• Self‑motivated hunter with strong commercial drive and resilience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust quickly.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively.
