External Sales Engineer (Electrical)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic External Sales Engineer to drive sales of electrical products for a leading industry player. The ideal candidate combines strong sales instincts with a solid understanding of electrical engineering concepts, and thrives on building lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client liaison and proactively promote the company’s electrical product portfolio.
• Monitor and achieve sales targets while preparing accurate technical quotations.
• Interpret electrical drawings to develop compelling sales pitches.
• Address external challenges, negotiate contracts and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions.

Required profile

• Electrical Engineering qualification (N3‑6/S1‑4) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the electrical industry (advantageous).
• Exceptional sales acumen, go‑getter attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English; Afrikaans is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure, negotiate effectively and solve problems analytically.
