External Sales and Service Advisor (OBR)

About the role

Deliver an exceptional customer experience by understanding and responding to individual needs and aspirations. Provide tailored, value‑adding solutions in a fast‑paced banking environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Apply appropriate sales processes within area of responsibility to achieve sales targets and build client relationships.
• Maximise business portfolio cross‑sell opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
• Maintain expert knowledge on specific products, pricing, application procedures, processing and timelines to drive sales.
• Retrieve qualified leads from internal sales pipeline and contact existing or new customers to generate sales.
• Source new leads through external contacts and other channels to increase the customer base.
• Contact prospective clients and sell appropriate banking products to achieve sales targets.
• Deliver end‑to‑end client management: engage clients, present the FNB value proposition, facilitate applications, prepare proposals, manage internal dependencies, close deals and handle post‑sale queries.
• Analyse competitor information and monitor market trends to identify new business opportunities.
• Track, control and influence sales activities to meet predetermined targets while ensuring quality, productivity and compliance.

Required profile

• Completed a FSCA‑recognised FAIS‑relevant NQF Level 5 qualification or higher.
• Completed First Level Regulatory Examination.
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and build client relationships.
• Understanding of market needs to design and deliver innovative, customised solutions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of banking products and regulatory compliance (FAIS, NCA).
