Experienced ICT Support Technician

About the role

Parklands College is seeking an experienced ICT Support Technician to join its secondary faculty technology team. The role involves providing expert technical assistance across the college’s digital infrastructure and supporting staff and learners in a fast‑paced educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line and escalated technical support for hardware, software and network issues.
• Administer Google Workspace and manage Apple devices through JAMF MDM.
• Maintain Windows client and server environments, printers, multifunction devices and 3CX/PBX systems.
• Configure and monitor WAN, LAN and VLAN networks, including Aruba wireless solutions.
• Support CCTV systems and assist with college events, functions and open days.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years ICT support experience, preferably in the education sector.
• National Diploma or BTech in IT (or equivalent) with relevant certifications (MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA A+ & Network+, Apple Certified Technician).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and client‑service orientation.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and communicate effectively.
