Enterprise Architect

About the role

We are seeking an Enterprise Architect to drive digital transformation for a leading Transport and Logistics client. This permanent, on‑site position is based in the eastern suburbs of Johannesburg and sits at the intersection of business strategy, enterprise systems and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on architectural guidance across business transformation projects.
• Conduct functional and application architecture analyses to support initiatives in finance, HR, logistics, shipping and customer platforms.
• Design application architecture, integration strategies and solution blueprints, and support technology selection, vendor evaluation and RFP activities.
• Maintain and enrich the enterprise application landscape using LeanIX, develop architecture standards and facilitate workshops.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective architecture solutions and contribute to the maturity of the Enterprise Architecture function.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 2‑3 years experience in Enterprise, Solution or Business Architecture.
• Proven experience supporting complex business and digital transformation initiatives.

Required skills

• Process modelling and architecture documentation using Draw.io or similar tools.
• Enterprise integration principles including APIs, ESB and ETL.
• Application portfolio and enterprise landscape analysis.
• Familiarity with LeanIX or comparable EA repositories.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure environments.
