Job description

About the role

Deliver safe, quality nursing care in an orthopaedic setting according to the Scope of Practice, working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with the multi‑disciplinary team.
Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety.
Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

Enrolled Nurse Certificate (essential education).
CPD courses in specialised wards (desired education).
No minimum experience required; 1 year post‑qualification experience preferred for specialised unit placement.

Required skills

Basic life support trained.
Infection prevention and control.
Pharmacology knowledge.
Scientific nursing principles and processes.
Patient assessment skills.
Nursing processes and procedures.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation.
Nursing care plan development.
Risk identification.
