Enrolled Nurse – High Care – Hospital Group – Kimberley

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse will provide safe, cost-effective, high-quality patient care in a high-care hospital setting in Kimberley. Working under hospital standards and policies, the nurse will be responsible for direct and indirect nursing care, including assessment, planning, execution and supervision of care to meet patients’ needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation reflecting patient care.
• Contribute to holistic patient care and promote health and wellbeing.
• Ensure a therapeutic, clean and safe environment free from medico-legal hazards.
• Attend handover reports at the start of each shift.
• Participate in the ward’s quality-improvement programme.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care.
• Refer patient and doctor complaints to the Sister-in-Charge.
• Carry out departmental duties assigned by supervisors and complete delegated tasks on time.

Required profile

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Compliance with the SANC code for Enrolled Nurses and all applicable health-care legislation.
• Computer literacy.
• Flexibility to work various hours and shifts.
