About the role
The Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary provides direct and/or indirect nursing care to patients or groups of patients in the Surgical Ward, Paardevlei, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in line with hospital standards and policies. As a professional practitioner, the incumbent is personally accountable for their own acts and omissions.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and care for the needs of patients
- Develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care to deliver high-quality care
- Report potential or actual risks identified
- Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed
Required profile
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary
- 1 to 5 years of working experience in the same position
- Compliance with the SANC code for an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary and applicable health care legislation
- Experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding is advantageous; theatre experience is essential
