Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the engineering and maintenance team to ensure safe, reliable and cost‑effective operation of all production equipment, utilities and site infrastructure. The role focuses on planning, executing and continuously improving maintenance programmes while meeting safety, quality and productivity targets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 100% compliance with all statutory inspections, testing, certification and maintenance requirements for plant, equipment and infrastructure.
• Oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programmes in line with company standards and engineering best practices.
• Manage engineering projects, capital expenditure, maintenance budgets, contractors and spare‑parts inventories.
• Ensure all statutory permits, certificates of conformity and inspection reports are current, filed and available for audits.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering or maintenance teams in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and engineering regulations.
• Ability to manage budgets, contracts and capital projects effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on statutory compliance and documentation.
