Electronic Site Technician

About the role

The Electronic Site Technician will provide on‑site installation, maintenance and calibration of electronic equipment for customers across South Africa. The role combines hands‑on electronics work with customer interaction, ensuring reliable operation of monitoring and communication systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install and maintain electronic devices, including data loggers and monitoring equipment.
• Perform routine calibration, testing and troubleshooting of digital and analog circuits.
• Support field services for 4G/5G communication modules and related hardware.
• Collect and verify monitoring parameters such as flow rate, water pressure, water depth, turbidity, pH and free chlorine.
• Document service reports and communicate findings to customers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Required skills

• Electronics assembly and maintenance.
• Digital and analog circuit knowledge.
• Familiarity with 4G/5G technology and data loggers.
• Experience monitoring flow rate, water pressure, water depth, turbidity, pH and free chlorine.
• Troubleshooting of electrical/electronic systems.
